Escudo Umbra ("we", "us") provides whole-house battery backup systems and related services in the Riviera Maya, Mexico. This page explains what information we collect when you contact us — by WhatsApp, phone, email, or through this website — and how we use it.

Information we collect

When you message us on WhatsApp, call, email, or use the pricing calculator on this site, we may collect: your name, phone number, email address, the content of your messages, your approximate service location, and details about the system you're interested in (equipment, budget, timing). We do not collect payment information through WhatsApp or this website.

How we use it

We use this information to respond to your questions, prepare quotes, schedule site visits and appointments, and follow up on missed calls or unanswered messages. We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising or marketing to third parties.

WhatsApp and automated replies

Messages sent to our WhatsApp number (+52 984 452 8700) are processed using Meta's WhatsApp Business Platform. Some replies may be generated with the help of an AI assistant (built on Anthropic's Claude) that reads your message to answer questions, record your contact details as a lead, and check or book appointment availability. A member of our team can review these conversations and will step in directly whenever needed.

Where your information is stored

Contact and conversation records are stored in Airtable, a cloud database service. Appointments are scheduled using Google Calendar. Both are configured to be accessible only to Escudo Umbra. We keep records for as long as needed to provide service and follow up on your enquiry, or until you ask us to delete them.

Your choices

You can ask us to delete your contact information or conversation history at any time by messaging us on WhatsApp at +52 984 452 8700. You can stop receiving messages from us at any time by simply telling us to stop, or by blocking our number in WhatsApp.
